RODI Kenya conducted a practical training in Gatundu North, Kiambu County, aimed at strengthening the knowledge and skills of community members and county agricultural extension officers in the production and use of locally made bio-inputs.
The training focused on the preparation of Bokashi and ash brew, two affordable and locally accessible bio-inputs that can support farmers in improving soil health, plant growth and sustainable agricultural production.
By bringing together community members and Kiambu County agricultural extension officers, the training created an opportunity for participants to gain practical knowledge that can be applied directly in the field and shared with other farmers within their communities.
The engagement also strengthened collaboration between RODI Kenya, local communities and government agricultural extension services, helping to promote the wider adoption of agroecological and environmentally friendly farming practices.
Through such practical capacity-building initiatives, RODI Kenya continues to support communities and agricultural stakeholders with knowledge and skills that contribute to resilient, sustainable and climate-smart food systems.
