Blog / RODI Kenya Brings Health Screening Services Closer to the Solio Community
Solio, 26 August 2026 — RODI Kenya brought basic health screening services closer to the Solio community, where more than 100 community members were screened for diabetes, blood pressure and eye health.
The initiative provided residents with an opportunity to check important aspects of their health while increasing awareness of the importance of regular health monitoring and preventive care.
One of the key services provided by RODI Kenya was screening for blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
Diabetes and high blood pressure may develop without noticeable symptoms, making regular screening important for identifying potential health concerns early.
Through the screening, community members were able to learn more about their health status and the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyles and seeking professional medical advice when necessary.

RODI Kenya also supported eye health and vision screening for community members.
Good vision plays an important role in everyday life, education, work and overall wellbeing. The screening gave participants an opportunity to have their vision checked and encouraged those experiencing possible vision challenges to seek further professional assessment.

For many community members, accessible screening provides an opportunity to become more aware of their health and take action before potential problems become more serious.

The health screening in Solio reflects RODI Kenya's commitment to supporting communities with practical services and information that contribute to better health and wellbeing.
