Blog / International Students from the University of Padova Visit RODI Kenya
RODI Kenya recently hosted a group of international students from the University of Padova (Italy) who are enrolled in the Joint International Master’s Programme in Climate Change, Diversity, and Sustainable Territorial Development, financed by the EU Erasmus Mundus Programme.
The students, drawn from different countries and academic backgrounds, visited RODI Kenya to better understand our work, approach, and impact within communities. The visit provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange, practical learning, and engagement with real-world development initiatives aligned with their areas of research.
During the visit, Esther Bett guided the students through RODI Kenya’s programs, explaining our mission, core thematic areas, and how we implement sustainable, community-driven solutions. She highlighted how our work connects to issues of climate change, social inclusion, and sustainable territorial development, offering practical insights beyond the classroom.
The interaction allowed students to learn how theory is applied in practice, particularly in grassroots development, research, and community engagement. It also created space for dialogue, questions, and shared learning between the students and the RODI Kenya team.
RODI Kenya values such academic partnerships and learning exchanges, as they strengthen collaboration, promote global understanding, and contribute to evidence-based, sustainable development practice.
